Who this policy covers
Shigatsu is an Australian matcha brand. The Australian Business Register currently lists Haeji Jang as an active individual / sole trader ABN holder (ABN 88 676 152 208). The intended business name is Four Tone, as confirmed by the owner; confirm its ASIC business-name registration is active before sales begin. A privacy contact email will be published before online sales begin. We handle personal information in accordance with privacy laws that apply to our business. This policy is also provided as a transparency measure; whether the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) applies to a small business depends on its circumstances and statutory exceptions.
Information we collect
At present, this site does not accept orders, subscription enrolments or newsletter sign-ups. The email and phone fields in the subscription pop-up are disabled; entries cannot be submitted or stored. Website hosting and security systems may process basic technical information such as IP address, browser and request logs.
If checkout or customer support is enabled, we may collect information such as name, email address, phone number, delivery and billing address, order details, payment status, subscription choices and messages you send us. Card details will be handled by the payment provider shown at checkout rather than stored by this website, subject to that provider’s systems and privacy terms.
How information is used
- To operate, secure and improve the website.
- To respond to customer enquiries and fulfil orders, deliveries, refunds and subscription requests once those services are active.
- To meet record-keeping, safety and legal obligations.
- To send marketing only where we have the consent required by law; each commercial email or SMS will include a working unsubscribe method.
Cookies and third-party services
This site currently uses browser session storage to remember whether a subscription offer has appeared during your visit. It does not submit the disabled form. The website also loads a web font from Google Fonts and a map image from a third-party source. Those services may receive technical request information from your browser. We do not currently use advertising pixels or an analytics platform on this site.
If Square, shipping services, email marketing or analytics tools are added, we will update this policy before collecting information through them. Those providers may process information in Australia or overseas; relevant provider details will be disclosed when the services are selected.
Disclosure and security
We do not sell personal information. When services are active, information may be shared with providers needed to host the site, take payment, deliver orders, provide customer support or meet legal obligations. We take reasonable steps to protect information, but no internet transmission or storage method can be guaranteed completely secure.
Access, correction and complaints
You may ask to access or correct personal information we hold about you, or raise a privacy concern. The customer service and privacy contact details will be published before checkout opens. We will respond in line with the laws that apply. If the Privacy Act applies and you are not satisfied with our response, you may be able to complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC).
Changes and retention
We keep information only for as long as reasonably needed for the purposes described above, including legal and accounting requirements, and securely dispose of it when no longer required. We will update this page when our data practices change.
